Our biggest and most significant networking event of the year, Canterbury BID’s Annual General Meeting, was held at the Cathedral Lodge on Wednesday, September 21st. Over 100 local businesses members were in attendance. Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to the evening.
We provided an overview of some of the new initiatives that will be introduced this year plus a report on BID’s finances and the impact of your investment in
2021-22. Copies of the Canterbury BID Annual Report 2021-22 were circulated, accompanied by the latest Canterbury BID Video.
We heard presentations about:
- Mobilising the business community to raise the bar, represent and collectively deliver on a national level from guest speaker Matt Sims, CEO of Croydon BID and leader of the Business Booster and Business SOS campaigns
- Spend Insights for Canterbury from guest speaker Simon Babes, Market Development Leader for EMEA at GHD
- Backing business and growth through our Corporate Plan, Local Plan and Levelling Up Fund bid from Canterbury City Council Leader Ben Fitter-Harding
