Canterbury BID and partners are investing £30,000 into this year’s Christmas Campaign, including radio, bus sides, kent wide posters and more. All to encourage visitors to choose Canterbury for their Christmas destination. In 2022 this resulted in a reach of over 10 milllion and we hope to beat this in 2023.
The Visit Canterbury homepage is the target destination for all marketing activities and will be entirely dedicated to Christmas in Canterbury, with inspirational blogs, events and activities to tempt your customers to visit.
18,000 copies of MyCanterbury Winter Guide have arrived in Canterbury! We have also created a digital toolkit featuring copyright free images, png design elements and Christmas poem and social media content ideas.
By getting involved you will help to make sure everyone knows that Canterbury is THE destination for Christmas.

Hot off the press, 18,000 Winter Guides have arrived in Canterbury. Distributed door-to-door around the district, hotels, B&Bs, attractions and businesses. This A5 full-colour booklet is stuffed full of festive ideas to keep everyone entertained and well-fed over Christmas. With a handy “What’s On” guide, local stories, festive tips plus loads of ideas for Christmas shopping. Order some for your businesses here or download a digital version.

HORNBY TRAIN TRAIL
18 November – 22 December
38 local businesses will become mini Hornby Train Stations, displaying them as part of their Christmas window design. Each business will have a window cling, train tickets and stamps. Visitors will be encouraged to visit each shop to collect a stamp in order to collect a mini prize from Fenwick. Even if you aren’t part of the trail, post your favourite train puns, tag in @MyCanterbury and get on board!
CHRISTMAS WINDOW COMPETITION 2023
Every year Canterbury boasts some of the most stunning Christmas window displays in the South East with the press, social media influencers and bloggers regularly visiting the city to comment. The window competition has been created to maximise awareness of your business and to encourage even more Christmas visits to our city centre.
