BLACK BRITISH CULTURE IN PRINT The University of Kent is hosting an exploration of black British culture. The exhibition Where Are You From, From? British Culture in Print: 1800s-now. Running from the 10th-26th May 2023 at the Studio 3 Gallery, it chronicles the changes and continuities of Black identities in Britain from the black Victorians of the 19th century to predictions on the future state of black culture and representation.   Find out more

PRIDE CANTERBURY 2023

Canterbury City Centre & Dane John Gardens

Pride Canterbury is a spectacular celebration of LGBTQ+ identity for the whole family set in the heart of Canterbury. This year will celebrate the 50th anniversary since the first Pride march in Canterbury!   Featuring a parade through Canterbury High Street, followed by live entertainment with food and drink in the Dane John Gardens. Join 25,000 other people to come together to celebrate diversity, equality and progress.   Line-up includes pop sensations Liberty X, RuPaul's Drag Race superstars Danny Beard and Baga Chipz, Tiktok star Caity Baser plus West End stars Layton Williams and Miriam-Teak Lee. The event attracted more than 30,000 people last year, therefore to accommodate the crowds, a number of changes are being made with the event spread out over 2 days on Saturday, June 10 and Sunday, June 11, and the festival footprint extended to areas beyond the Dane John Gardens.
