To welcome students to Canterbury and to enable them to get know the city all its wonderful businesses, a special Fresher Fest will be held from 16-21 September with activities, giveaways, printed deals and discounts and lots more on offer each day at various times and locations throughout the city More information will be available nearer the time
Each year, thousands of people visit and enjoy the beauty of the River Stour, the second longest waterway in Kent and once a key Roman trade route connecting Britain to Europe. People picnic along its banks, rejoice in a relaxing river tour or walk along the footpaths that offer glimpses of the river. To celebrate and find out more, join the community for a wonderful week of free river-related events walk, talks, arts & crafts, river dipping and loads more to help you learn more about this beautiful river. CANTERBURY'S BIGGEST PUB TOUR IS BACK Thursday 21st September sees nearly 1000 new students booked to be taken round the city and introduced to all the brilliant venues and night time location's so they can get to know the city centre. They will also be shown all the safety routes and given materials to ensure their nights our are as safe as possible The event includes: 5 free drinks visit Canterburys best venues tote bag, t-shirt & vouchers supplied by Canterbury BID free Mcdonald’s learn about the city & night out safety after party at Chemistry or Tokyo tea rooms
