Canterbury Festival returns from 19 October – 2 November to celebrate their 40th birthday with a brilliant array of exciting music, theatre, comedy, talks, science, family shows and much more. Showcasing local acts alongside international touring artists and companies, this year’s Festival is packed full of unique experiences to share with friends and family, bringing colour and energy to the city this autumn.
Spells have been cast and plans are afoot for some epic Halloween frights and entertainment for all ages this Half Term as the city goes all-out to ensure visitors have a spine tingling, memorable experience. The University of Kent's next Community Tennis Open Day will be on Saturday, October 26 held in the Kent Indoor Tennis and Events Arena The event is offering a free 45-minute tennis session with qualified coaching from the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) to all students, staff, and members of the public. An interactive Halloween trail for the whole family to enjoy! Blanche The Bland (an evil alchemist) is trying to drain all the colour and fun from The Beaney. We need your help to save the colour! The Halloween Sweet Hunt is back for another year in the Castle Quarter with a treasure hunt for the whole family! There will be hidden trick-or-treat treasures to be found in many of the independent businesses throughout the quarter. 10-5pm | St Margaret Street, Castle Street, Beer Cart Lane and Stour Street.
