Canterbury Christmas Market 2024 Open From November 15th at 10 am Now extended into the stunning Canterbury Cathedral Precincts (NO charge to get in!) adding extra festive fun to the established sections in Whitefriars and St Georges. There is now a total of 95 huts and 150+ stallholders, making it one of the largest Christmas Markets in the South East. Click here for a map and information of the three areas. This year's Christmas Light Parade and Switch On event will be finishing in the Cathedral Precincts, signalling the opening of the new Canterbury Cathedral Christmas Market. The University of Kent's Undergraduate Open Day for the Canterbury campus will be held on November 16, 2024. The event is called "Find your future" and will take place on the Canterbury campus. Last year Canterbury had Hornby Trains - this year we have Bagpuss! Bagpuss and his friend Gregory Bear are both paying a special visit to Canterbury this Christmas to celebrate his 50th birthday. Thanks to Hospices for Hope (supported by the Firmin Family) there will be a selection of Bagpuss collectors’ items, accompanied by gorgeous locally made Canterbury Bear teddies on display in lots of different Christmas windows around the city - but can you spot where they are?
