Pride Canterbury is a spectacular celebration of LGBTQ+ identity for the whole family set in the heart of Canterbury. This year will celebrate the 50th anniversary since the first Pride march in Canterbury!   Featuring a parade through Canterbury High Street, followed by live entertainment with food and drink in the Dane John Gardens. Join 25,000 other people to come together to celebrate diversity, equality and progress.   Line-up includes pop sensations Liberty X, RuPaul's Drag Race superstars Danny Beard and Baga Chipz, Tiktok star Caity Baser plus West End stars Layton Williams and Miriam-Teak Lee. The event attracted more than 30,000 people last year, therefore to accommodate the crowds, a number of changes are being made with the event spread out over 2 days on Saturday, June 10 and Sunday, June 11, and the festival footprint extended to areas beyond the Dane John Gardens. Open to any food and drink business located in Kent, the awards have been running for nearly twenty years –making them the longest running, and most prestigious food & drink awards in the South East   This year there is a new format, and the award categories have been refined into 3 key areas – Product / Taste Awards, Hospitality & Retail Awards and Business Awards.   The award ceremony itself has been completely revamped and is now extended to include a Taste of Kent Festival in the afternoon, and an Oscar Style Awards Ceremony in the evening – all at the amazing University of Kent’s Gulbenkian. Finalists sampling and selling their products at the daytime festival – open to the public and guestlist of regional and national buyers – leading into an exclusive evening time ticketed awards ceremony.
