For those of you who wish to take things at a gentler pace, why not go for a strollaton instead?   The Kent and Canterbury Hospital's League of Friends is organising a 10k stroll through the City of Canterbury on Sun 10 September, starting at the University of Kent at and finishing at the Kent & Canterbury Hospital where refreshments will be waiting.   More info here

CANTERBURY’S ANNUAL DUCK RACE

Quack quack it's back! We are delighted to share details of this year's Annual Charity Duck Race to be held at Canterbury's Westgate Gardens on Sunday 10th September 2023.    As usual, thousands of ducks will be launched into the River Stour from the bridge by Toddlers Cove and will "swim" towards the entrance to Westgate Gardens. Individuals can sponsor ducks for £1 each (details of where below). The sponsor of the winning duck (first under the bridge) will get £250, the second place £100, third place £50. Winner of the fourth place will win a voucher.   Come and sponsor a duck at these sponsorship stalls (details below)! GREAT STOUR RIVERFEST 2023

Each year, thousands of people visit and enjoy the beauty of the River Stour, the second longest waterway in Kent and once a key Roman trade route connecting Britain to Europe.
