Canterbury Christmas Market 2024 Open From November 15th at 10 am   Now extended into the stunning Canterbury Cathedral Precincts (NO charge to get in!)  adding extra festive fun to the established sections in Whitefriars and St Georges. This year's Christmas Light Parade and Switch On event will be finishing in the Cathedral Precincts, signalling the opening of the new Canterbury Cathedral Christmas Market. The University of Kent's Undergraduate Open Day for the Canterbury campus will be held on November 16, 2024. The event is called "Find your future" and will take place on the Canterbury campus.   Here are some things you can expect to do at the open day:   Meet current students and lecturers Tour the campus and accommodation option Attend talks about fees, funding, and finance Visit the Templeman Library Learn about the student support services available

Last year Canterbury had Hornby Trains - this year we have Bagpuss!  Bagpuss and his friend Gregory Bear are both paying a special visit to Canterbury this Christmas to celebrate his 50th birthday.   Thanks to Hospices for Hope (supported by the Firmin Family) there will be a selection of Bagpuss collectors’ items, accompanied by gorgeous locally made Canterbury Bear teddies on display in lots of different Christmas windows around the city - but can you spot where they are?   Full details of the trail TBC - watch this space!!
