Annual Heritage Lecture: Archaeology at the Cathedral and in the Precincts

The Canterbury Society is presenting a lecture which gives an insight into the results of ongoing archaeological projects at Canterbury Cathedral. These include works undertaken to install a new Organ Loft in the North Quire Aisle, a project to enable access in the Cloisters, the construction of new buildings within the Kings School and the wide-ranging works to both the fabric of the Cathedral, and the surrounding landscape in the Precincts. Nathalie Cohen works for the National Trust, as the regional Archaeologist for properties in London, Kent and East Sussex (and also currently in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and West Oxfordshire!), and she has been the Cathedral Archaeologist for Canterbury Cathedral since 2016. Wimbledon Big Screen at Whitefriars

Wimbledon is coming to Whitefriars. The team behind City Feast are now bringing a taste of Wimbledon to Whitefriars Square from Monday 28 June through to Sunday 11 July. Shoppers will discover a giant screen with all the matches screened for FREE plus a Pimm's and champagne bar, Curious Brewing Defender Bar, Sipsmith Gin London Taxi Gin Bar, Strawberries and Cream, table tennis tables and deckchairs. Find out more HERE

BID Summer Networking with Gin Tasting from the Foundry!

Summer BID Networking is confirmed for 21 July at 5.30-6.45pm in partnership with Girlings Solicitors.  Local distiller The Foundry will provide us with a gin tasting session. Theatre in the Westgate Park: Hound Of The Baskervilles

West-End smash comedy hit The Hound Of The Baskervilles comes to the Westgate Gardens this summer! Running from 22 July-1 August, Ben Roddy (one of the country's most popular panto dames) will be providing some outdoor laughs in this comedy spoof. Tower House will provide a stunning backdrop and its proximity to the city centre will enable the audience to enjoy the all the city's food and drink offering both before and after the production.
