Gavin Esler In Conversation: Sir Michael Morpurgo

The In Conversation series continues with Sir Michael Morpurgo OBE, who will be joining Gavin Esler live in the Gulbenkian Theatre at 18.30 with doors opening at 18.00. Michael Morpurgo has written over 130 books, including The Butterfly Lion, Kensuke’s Kingdom, Why the Whales Come, The Mozart Question, Shadow, and War Horse, which was adapted for a hugely successful stage production by the National Theatre and then, in 2011, for a film directed by Steven Spielberg.  Michael was awarded the OBE for his writing in 2006. His latest novels are When Fishes Flew (HarperCollins), Carnival of the Animals (Harper Collins) and Song of Gladness (Macmillan).

The Safer Streets Team (Kent Police in partnership with Canterbury City Council) will be in the city centre on Saturday 11 December, with a pop-up hub outside Barclays Bank to share safety messages and marking bicycles against theft etc.

Blean Winter Fayre

Join Kent Wildlife Trust, Wildwood Trust and the RSPB at West Blean Woods, on Saturday 18th December for a wonderful Winter Fayre.
