Canterbury features in Visit Kent’s London campaign again this summer!
Visit Kent is inviting Londoners, commuters, tourists and residents across the South East to discover more of the Garden of England this week as its summer campaign gets underway.
From Monday (21st May), striking images of Kent will be displayed across London underground and over ground stations, and on a host of digital channels, to inspire people to explore the county this summer.
Each year, Visit Kent embarks on a major summer campaign to promote the county across London. Now in its 8th year, the award-winning Kent Contemporary advertising campaign has been developed in partnership with M&C Saatchi, AKA Media, and Southeastern.
This year’s campaign features eye-catching images and videos of Canterbury, Dover Castle, Hever Castle, Howletts Wild Animal Park*, Leeds Castle*, Margate*, Royal Harbour Ramsgate, Shepherd Neame (Whitstable Bay), and Viking Bay Broadstairs.
The campaign is also being supported this year by partners Kent & Sussex Cottages* who offer a wide range of holiday cottages and accommodation throughout the county.
Visit Kent Chief Executive, Sandra Matthews-Marsh MBE, said: “We are really excited about launching our summer campaign this week with this beautiful array of images. We have worked closely with our destinations, our attractions, and our partners at Southeastern to create a series of inspiring images that also include a clear call to action. We feel these creatives perfectly encapsulate the drama, energy and coastal beauty of Kent in a way that is bright, witty, and relatable.”
The campaign will be appearing across London underground and over ground stations, including large screens at Kings Cross station, as well as through targeted digital adverts.
This year’s campaign has also adopted a new, staggered approach to activity across its partners. The first burst of activity incorporates destination partners Canterbury, Margate, Royal Harbour Ramsgate and Viking Bay Broadstairs. This is to be followed by activity for Dover Castle, Hever Castle, Howletts Wild Animal Park, Leeds Castle and Shepherd Neame (Whitstable Bay) which will be launching from 2nd July.
Sandra added: “Whatever your interests or travel preferences, Kent has something to offer everyone this summer – from culture-filled escapes and get-away-from-it-all rural retreats, to jaw-dropping history and incredible adventures with family or friends.
“We want to show people the Kent we love, in a modern and exciting new way, and to welcome even more people to enjoy a summer escape in Kent.”
