A French food fair featuring cider and cheese tastings is coming to Kent this Early May Bank Holiday. Promising "the best food, drink and music from our closest neighbours", the Normandy Food Tour is visiting Canterbury as part of a route across east and south east England. It will feature food trucks serving up tasty sweet and savoury dishes from the region - from Camembert beef burgers, seafood and French chicken, to fresh brioche, chimney cakes and crepes. There will also be free-to-attend masterclasses held throughout the day, offering the chance to sample exports such as cheeses, cider, Normandy brandy Calvados, and a range of sweet treats. A demo stage will feature Normandy chefs Clementine Yonnet and François Eustace, as they cook up traditional and innovative cuisine including 'escalope à la Normande’, Teurgoule rice pudding, and brioche, hosted by presenter Nigel Barden. The event will finish with a 70min live music show atop French music bus Carpanorama.
