World Homeless Day is on October 10th and to mark the day Catching Lives are doing a few things to encourage people to think about homelessness and what they do to combat it locally.
They have produced a short film about homelessness and what they do, which you can view by clicking this link: www.vimeo.com/236129635 .
To try and encourage donations, they have a produced a poster which they would like local shops and businesses to put up for the duration of October.
They are also launching a book – Harbledown Hope. The book has been written and illustrated by their homeless clients and is aimed at children and designed to help with the understanding of what it is like to be a rough sleeper through the eyes of Harbledown – an urban fox. It will be sold to raise funds for the centre and to raise awareness of homelessness. On the day there will be a presentation and a chance to meet some of the clients involved in the books production at the Catching Lives centre either between 2pm and 4pm or 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
